Carole Nicolas
Carole was nominated by her three children (teenage/young adult), and this is what they had to say about her – “We come first no matter what. She’s always putting her life and her work on hold for us kids. It doesn’t matter how many things in her life are piling up and what needs to get done. If we have a doctor’s appointment, or dance, guitar, gymnastics she’s there. She’s selfless. She’s our hero.”
AMAZING!!! What a beautiful way to show their appreciation and acknowledge just how much their mom means to them, and their thoughtfulness is a true testament to what an incredible mother Carole is! As a friend and colleague, I know Carole very well, and would not even have the words to express how wonderful and thoughtful she is!
In addition to her dedication to her children, fantastic husband, and family, Carole has spent her career working in health care and social services. She has shared her absolutely caring and heart-centred approach to helping others while working at the crisis unit and currently for a non-profit disability support organization. She works hard and pays attention to detail, and always gets the job done (and then some!). As a family member, she offers all the support and help that she can to make sure everyone is taken care of and happy. As a friend, if you are going through a tough time, or you need something? Boom! Carole is there, no questions, no judgement, just there. She also has this adorable sense of humour and enjoys planning little sneaky jokes to get you to smile and laugh.
Words of wisdom and empowerment from Carole:
I asked Carole what she feels has been the most valuable lesson she has learned in 2020, and this is what she had to share.
“Although 2020 has been a long, hard year I’ve learned to find comfort in knowing that family and friends were always there for guidance, love and support.”
I asked Carole to share her message of strength and empowerment for other women to start 2021 with a positive mindset, and this is her inspiring response.
“We all face obstacles and challenges in life that we must overcome. But finding your inner strength and loving yourself is the first step for success.”
WOW! What an incredible honour to hear from Carole’s children about what makes her phenomenal, and it is even more of an honour to be able to share her story with you. I’m so lucky to have her as a friend and work with her, and couldn’t imagine my life without her in it!
