Josie Griffiths
Josie was nominated by her friend Rayleen. She is a single mother to two amazing kids, Amari and Aaliyah. Josie spent the majority of her career managing in retail businesses like Sterling, Victoria’s Secret and Pandora. Once she had Aaliyah, she wanted to spend more time at home raising her so she opened her home up to be a daycare. Rayleen says that anytime she has been struggling with things, Josie’s first question to her is always, “How can I help?” Josie is one of the most amazing mothers, business woman and friend that anyone could want to know.
Isn’t it so wonderful to have a friend that you can count on no matter what? That friend who right away expresses how much they care and offers to help? Even if there isn’t anything they can do, the power of them just offering can make us feel so valued and loved. We all need a friend like Josie!
Words of wisdom and empowerment from Josie:
I asked Josie what she feels has been the most valuable lesson she has learned in 2020, and this is what she had to share.
“The most valuable lesson I have learned in 2020 is to slow down, take care of yourself so you can help others better. Our life was sooo incredibly busy, we had activities literally 6 days a week and I was so burnt out. Being forced into lockdown was such a wake-up call to the disconnect I had with myself and to our family unit as a whole. We had so many things on the go that we rarely got time to sit as a family together.”
I asked Josie to share her message of strength and empowerment for other women to start 2021 with a positive mindset, and this is her inspiring response.
“My message of strength and empowerment would probably be from a quote that I strongly believe in, ‘Fill your life with women that empower you, that help you believe in your magic, and aid them to believe in their own exceptional power and their incredible magic too. Women that believe in each other can survive anything. Women who believe in each other create armies that will win kingdoms and wars.’-Nikita Gill
