A message about strength and resilience…

Our ability to effectively survive, thrive, and lead comes from being flexible in riding out our ups and downs. An authentic journey does not always come from blasting through rocks, rather from having the courage, resilience, and adaptability to cope with harsh realities of life.

As humans, our instincts are to fight bitterly against adversity. The most resilient among us will often find a way to fight it by embracing it. This is accepting your battle.

Despite our darkest moments, it is our duty to stay connected to our core intention. Resilient people reach their highest potential by taking risks that are consistent with their ethos and purpose. This is how you can lead from within.

Do you ever feel tired of being strong all the time?

Even the strongest person can get exhausted.

Even the bravest and the most resilient ones can get tired of taking care of themselves and of everyone else. Even they can get tired of the independent life they are choosing to live. Tired of needing to cope and adapt to all of the uncontrollable situations that keep popping up to throw them off track.

Sometimes, strong people don’t like to be heroes. Because sometimes, even the strongest person out there breaks down.

And usually, it is when they have had enough of everyone and everything. When they have been strong for too long and they have forgotten about themselves. When they can’t pull themselves up because their body, heart, and soul are heavy. When everything they have built is falling apart and they feel helpless and hopeless.

After all, even the strongest person gets tired of being strong because they have not been born with their strength. They have learned how to be strong on their own, having faced many unthinkable adversities.

Even they miss who they used to be before people and circumstances taught them who they should be – that they need to be strong and independent. Even though they value this ability to be so brave and overcome everything, they need to be vulnerable. They are human as well and they need to feel like it.

For those who needed to hear this today, give yourself the grace to accept your battle, to lead from within, and to be human.

It’s okay to sit in the darkness sometimes. It guides us to notice and appreciate the true beauty of the light and when you are ready, you can choose to walk towards the light once again.
